The Gramicci page brings together the brand born from Californian climbing: pants with an integrated waistband and gusset, double knee made of hemp canvas, Ridge in corduroy, Fatigue, Gadget, Straight jeans, cargo pants, and water-resistant WR anoraks, Climbing sweatshirts, One Point and Granola, and mohair jumpers and cardigans.
In 1982, climber Mike Graham started Gramicci from his garage in Oxnard, California. He was looking for trousers that allowed him to lift his leg high on a hold without tearing, and that could be adjusted with one hand.
The name of the brand comes from an Italian-sounding nickname he gave himself among climbers.
A diamond-shaped piece of fabric sewn into the crotch, inspired by kung-fu trousers, allows for freedom of leg movement. You can squat, step over or climb without the seam pulling.
A woven strap, inspired by backpack straps, replaces the traditional belt: it can be adjusted with one hand and stays comfortable under a harness.
The cargo and the anorak WR, for water repellent, are treated to make water bead up. They withstand a shower during a walk or a climbing session.
The Climbing, One Point, and Granola hoodies embrace the climbing world. The mohair jumper and cardigan, featuring scattered patterns, add a softer and more stylish touch.
Designed for climbing, Gramicci trousers have taken over the streets thanks to their comfort. Paired with a sweatshirt, trail sneakers or loafers, they create a laid-back outfit that can be worn all year round.
Thanks to the integrated belt, the size can be adjusted: take your usual size. Check the leg length, which varies by cut.
Wash the trousers at 30 degrees, inside out. The hemp softens with each wash. The mohair should be hand-washed in cold water and dried flat.
For all trousers, check out the men's outdoor trousers section, and neighbouring brands Penfield and Aigle. Other brands can be found in the men's outdoor by brand.
