The Colorful Standard men's page brings together the Copenhagen brand and its basics in a variety of shades: round neck merino wool sweaters, zip-up or quarter zip, oversized round neck jumpers, Organic cotton shirts and overshirts, merino scarves. Simple pieces made in Portugal.
Born in Copenhagen, Colorful Standard offers basics made from organic cotton and recycled merino wool, available in a palette of several dozen colours. Its clothes are crafted in its own workshops in Portugal and dyed after sewing.
This dyeing at the end of production gives deep colours and a fabric that is already soft.
The Classic Merino, with a round neck, comes in deep black, ivory white, and dusty olive. The quarter zip, in ivory white, magenta blaze, navy blue, or steel blue, opens at the collar to regulate warmth. The zip-up merino jumper can be worn like a light jacket.
The merino, a very fine wool, does not itch and limits odours.
The Organic shirt and overshirt, made from organic cotton, can be worn alone or open over a t-shirt. The oversized round neck jumper, in cotton, offers a loose and relaxed fit.
The merino scarf, in coffee brown or other shades, completes a jumper of the same colour for a tonal outfit.
Worn over a shirt with the collar raised by the opening, or over a t-shirt, the merino quarter zip transitions from the office to the weekend. It layers comfortably under a jacket without bulk.
The classic cuts fall at the hips. For a loose effect, opt for the oversized styles in your usual size, rather than a size up from a classic fit.
Wash the merino on a wool cycle in cold water or by hand, and dry it flat. The cotton can be washed at 30 degrees, inside out, with similar colours to preserve the shade.
For all knits, check out the men's jumpers section and the KnowledgeCotton Apparel page. Other brands are in the men's clothing by brand.
