The KnowledgeCotton Apparel page features the Danish brand committed to natural and organic fibers: Chuck chinos and Flint Wide, GOTS certified corduroy trousers, linen shirts, organic cotton t-shirts, jumpers, Apex Canvas parka, coat, and seersucker swim shorts. Durable essentials with a Scandinavian style.
Behind KnowledgeCotton Apparel, there's a family story that started in textile in Herning, Denmark, along with a long-standing focus on responsible materials. The brand now works with natural fibres, mostly certified organic.
It collaborates with a cooperative of small cotton producers in India.
The GOTS standard, which stands for Global Organic Textile Standard, certifies both the organic fibre and the processing conditions, from spinning to manufacturing. Several pieces from the brand, like the Chuck corduroy trousers, carry this certification.
The Chuck chino, made from cotton twill, comes in a regular fit and in a five-pocket corduroy version. The Flint Wide has a wider leg, in line with the current trend of relaxed trousers.
Casual linen shirts are made for warm days. Organic cotton t-shirts with round necks form the foundation of the wardrobe.
The Apex parka, made from Canvas fabric, and the coat keep you warm in winter with a simple look. The knitted jumper rounds off the mid-season wardrobe.
Seersucker is a crinkled cotton with fine raised stripes that doesn't stick to the skin. The brand's swim shorts can be worn from the beach to the terrace.
Simple lines, natural colours, sustainable materials: KnowledgeCotton Apparel embodies an easy-to-wear Scandinavian minimalism that pairs well with most wardrobes.
The fits are fairly classic. The Chuck Regular is your usual size, while the Flint Wide offers a bit more room. Check the leg length.
Wash cotton at 30 or 40 degrees, inside out. Linen should be washed at low temperatures and ironed while damp. Wash corduroy inside out to preserve its ribs.
For other responsible brands, check out the pages Colorful Standard and Le Minor. Other houses are found in the men's clothing by brand.
