Our women's outdoor shoes cover all outings: hiking shoes Tenere in Gore-Tex, low or high Treck, Lomond in Matryx made in France, Trekkix Low for light walking, water shoes for the river, running Circle Sportswear, and safety shoes S3. Models designed for the terrain.
A forest trail, a rocky mountain path, a river to cross or a construction site: every outing has its challenges. This range brings together shoes designed to tackle these, especially from Aigle.
The right choice depends first on where you’re walking, then on the duration of the outing and the weather.
Founded in 1853, the French brand Aigle started with rubber boots before expanding its expertise to all things outdoor. Its walking shoes reflect this commitment: keeping your feet dry.
The Tenere is the go-to hiking shoe in this range. In Gore-Tex, it keeps your feet dry in the rain and on wet morning grass. The F2 and Icon use the same base in different styles.
It is suitable for day hikes on marked trails.
The Treck comes in a low cut and a mid-high cut. The former allows free movement of the ankle and is great for smooth paths; the latter offers better support on uneven terrain or when carrying a pack.
The Lomond Matryx uses a Matryx fabric designed by Chamatex, reinforced with Kevlar threads. This single-piece textile is abrasion-resistant while remaining light and flexible.
The shoe is entirely made in France, which is rare in the hiking world.
Low and light, the Trekkix Low is aimed at easy strolls, country paths, and sightseeing days. It can also be worn in the city with casual trousers.
For wading in a river, walking on pebbles or exploring a cove, aqua shoes from Aigle protect the soles of your feet while allowing water to flow out. They dry quickly and grip well on wet stones.
They are a valuable piece of equipment for light canyoning or kayaking.
Circle Sportswear, a French running brand committed to a circular economy, offers the SNR. It is aimed at female runners who want a more responsible shoe for their road and smooth path outings.
The Solter S3 from Aigle is a safety shoe for women. The S3 standard requires a protective toe cap, a puncture-resistant sole, and an upper that prevents water from entering.
It is designed for jobs in construction, landscaping, or logistics.
The Gore-Tex is a membrane placed between the upper and the lining. Its pores are small enough to stop water but large enough to let out moisture vapor. The result: your feet stay dry from the outside and inside.
In the height of summer and dry conditions, a shoe without a membrane breathes better.
Try on your shoes at the end of the day, with the socks you’ll be wearing when walking. Leave about a finger's space in front of your toes: when going downhill, your foot moves forward in the shoe.
Your heel shouldn't lift when you walk. A tight lace-up over the instep helps secure it.
Never head out for a long hike with a new pair. Wear them first for short walks, then gradually longer ones: the upper flexes and pressure points surface before it’s too late.
A merino wool or technical fibre sock wicks away moisture and reduces blisters. Avoid cotton, which retains sweat against the skin.
After each outing, brush off the mud, remove the insole, and let them air dry, away from fire and radiators, which can damage glues and leather. An appropriate waterproofing treatment maintains the water-repellent qualities of the upper.
A sole with worn lugs provides less grip, especially on wet surfaces. If the membrane lets water in or the upper tears, it's time to change pairs.
